What is Psychodynamic Therapy?

Hello. My name is Rachel and I’m an experienced Integrative Therapist based in Holborn, Central London and Finchley, North London. One of the many useful modalities I integrate into my sessions is Psychodynamic Therapy.

Psychodynamic Therapy weaves together many themes in our therapeutic journey where we explore the impact of our unconscious thoughts on everyday feelings, emotions, and behaviours. It looks at how past experiences and unresolved conflicts from our past can present challenges for us in the way we feel, think and behave and in the way we relate to ourselves and to others in our everyday life as we repeat unhealthy patterns of behaviour.

My interpretation of Psychodynamic Therapy is woven with sensitivity and adaptability and in the safety of our sessions we can gently unearth and make sense of these deeply-rooted narratives, allowing transformative insights and healing to begin.
